Supriya Kumari in Zee TV's next?

As we know, Zee TV is looking at extending its early evening slot by introducing two new fiction shows between 6-7 PM. While Jay Productions and Samidha Khalid Creative Lab's show Bhagonwali..Baante Apni Taqdeer will take the 6.30 PM slot, Shreya Creations' Apno Ke Liye… Geeta Ka Dharma Yudh will take the 6 PM slot.

TellyBuzz reported earlier that Sargun Mehta of 12/24 Karol Bagh fame will play the female lead in Apno Ke Liye… Geeta Ka Dharma. We had also said that Kanan Malhotra of Chand Chupa Badal Mein fame has been roped in to play one of the male leads.

The latest is that Supriya Kumari who was seen as the innocent Amoli in COLORS' Bairi Piya will be back in a new avatar with the Shreya Creations show.

Our source tells us, "The show has four leads, the characters being Prince, Rahul, Geeta and Mona. Geeta and Rahul are one set of siblings while Mona and Prince are the other. The role of Geeta will be essayed by Sargun, while Kanan plays her brother Rahul. For the character of Mona, Nisha Rawal was earlier finalized, but she backed out as she was not interested to start her TV career with a typical negative character. As of now, Supriya Kumari has been roped in to play this role, and she will be seen in a completely new avtar, of that of a vamp. The main guy Prince who is opposite Sargun has not been cast yet".

We hear that the channel and production house have liked Supriya Kumari and have given their green signal on choosing her. However, Supriya is yet to sign on the contract papers.

When contacted, Supriya told us, "Yes, it is true that I am called for a final look test for the Shreya show. But I have not decided on anything, as I have 2-3 other projects in hand".

However our source maintains that Supriya is on board and will start shooting from tomorrow.
