Sunny Deol's 'Gadar' Returns: 4-City premiere planned for the cult classic's re-release

Zee Studios is all set to bring back the magic of their epic blockbuster, 'Gadar,' as they plan to re-release the film on June 9, marking its 21st anniversary. Directed by Anil Sharma and starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, 'Gadar' has achieved immense success and attained a cult status in Indian cinema over the years. The official trailer of the film, presented in stunning 4K format, has already been released, further building anticipation for its grand return to the big screen.

Excitingly, the team behind 'Gadar' has revealed plans for a spectacular 4-city premiere to accompany the film's re-release. The cities chosen for this massive event are Mumbai, Lucknow, Indore, and Jaipur, where fans will get the chance to experience the cinematic spectacle once again. This re-release of 'Gadar' also serves as the starting point for a campaign leading up to the release of 'Gadar 2' on August 11. The objective of this extended campaign is to maintain the momentum and generate excitement surrounding the much-anticipated sequel.

According to reports from Pinkvilla, "The re-release of 'Gadar' will be as grand as the film's initial release back in 2001. With a massive premiere planned in four key cities, we aim to reintroduce the brand to a whole new generation, particularly the Gen-Z audience who might have heard about the film but never experienced its big-screen magic."

Speaking of 'Gadar 2,' the sequel directed by Anil Sharma is set against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan War. This time, the story revolves around Tara Singh, portrayed by Sunny Deol, who ventures into Pakistan in search of his son, Jeete, played by Utkarsh Sharma.
