Renowned Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, celebrated for his impactful roles in films like Dhadkan, Border, and Krodh, recently shared his perspective on the 'Boycott Bollywood' trend that made waves in the past. In an interview with ANI, the veteran actor deemed it as a passing phase, emphasizing that it was a movement causing additional challenges during a tumultuous period in the industry.

Expressing his views, Suniel Shetty remarked, "I think it was just a phase, a movement that came and went. Lots of things were happening with Bollywood and '#Boycott Bollywood' was a viral trend, a big movement that was causing further damage to what was already happening in our industry at the time."

Recalling a conversation with Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Shetty highlighted the challenges faced by the industry and how it was perceived by the public. He noted that during such times, even the film industry faced criticism, acknowledging the complexity of the situation.

The actor also shared amusing anecdotes from his personal life, reminiscing about his family's reaction to his action-packed films in the past. Despite the commercial success of his movies, Shetty humorously revealed that his family's response was often a casual acknowledgment followed by requests for headache-relieving medication, showcasing a light-hearted take on their reactions.

Talking about his workfront, the actor will be seen in Welcome To The Jungle, the third installment in the Welcome franchise, adding to the excitement surrounding his upcoming projects.
