Suniel Shetty Elated as Son Ahan Teams Up with Diljit Dosanjh for an Exciting Collaboration

Veteran actor Suniel Shetty is beaming with pride as his son, Ahan Shetty, gears up to share the screen with Bollywood heavyweights Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and global sensation Diljit Dosanjh in the highly anticipated action-drama Border 2.

During a recent visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Suniel interacted with the media, expressing his happiness over Ahan's role in the JP Dutta-produced sequel. “Mai khush hun kyunki Diljit ke saath Ahan ko bhi mauka mil raha hai film Border 2 me kaam karne ka. Toh beta kaam kar raha hai toh mujhe both khushi hai. Aur internationally known hai toh aashirwaad hamesha rahega. Aur yehe chahunga ki aur bada star bann jaae,” he said, adding his blessings for Ahan’s success.

Suniel also shared a heartfelt monochrome image on Instagram with his wife, Mana Shetty, from their visit to the temple, captioned “Blessed.”

The excitement around Border 2 has been palpable since its announcement. Earlier this year, Ahan Shetty posted a video on social media celebrating his casting, calling the opportunity “a dream come true.” He reflected on his emotional connection to the Border franchise, saying, “Ironic how life works—my journey with Border started 29 years ago, when mom visited dad on set while pregnant with me. I grew up hearing OP Dutta’s legendary stories, holding JP uncle’s hand, and sitting by @nidhiduttaofficial side. I never realized how much those moments would shape my love for cinema and the Indian Armed Forces. Now, being part of Border 2 is an absolute honour.”

Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, Border 2 is set to release in theaters on January 23, 2026. With an ensemble cast and a legacy to uphold, the film is poised to be one of the biggest cinematic events of the year.
