Sumbul Touqeer Khan along with THESE actresses in contention to lead Shabbir Ahluwalia's upcoming SAB TV show

Shabbir Ahluwalia starrer on Sony SAB has been the talk of the town ever since reports of the actor taking up the show surfaced on the internet. While not much is known about the story line and the track of the show, it was earlier reported that Yesha Rughani has been finalised to play the titular character in Shabbir's show.

However now, as per reports, the actress has backed out and will no longer be seen in the drama. As per recent media reports, now that Yesha has backed out, the makers of the show have approached a few popular faces and these faces are currently in contention to play the titular character. One amongst these popular faces is Sumbul Touqeer Khan, who has reportedly been approached to essay the titular role. Apart from Sumbul, Ashi Singh, Riya Sharma and Megha Ray have been approached to play the part. However, the makers are yet to zero down on the titular face opposite Shabbir.

On the work front, while Sumbul was last seen in Sony TV's Kavya opposite Mishkat Verma, Ashi's last show Meet-badlegi duniya ki reet ended in 2023. As for Riya and Megha, the former's last show 'Dhruv Tara,' opposite Ishaan Dhawan was widely loved. On the other hand, Megha Ray's show Sapnon Ki Chhalaang, even though not a commercial success, went ahead to be critically acclaimed.
