'Suits' Spinoff 'Pearson' Canceled After One Season

Not what we expected. Considering how powerful the character pf Jessica Pearson was in the Suits world over the years, when it was confirmed that the character will be getting its own spin-off show got us excited immediately.

And to no surprise, the first season fo Pearson was received well by the critics too. However, the viewers did not seem to be too warm in receiving the spin-off and thus the show drew a smaller audience. Owing to that, it comes as a shocker that Pearson has been canceled after one season.

Yes! That's right. The decision comes about six weeks after the series ended its 10-episode run. With the cancellation, the Suits franchise is done on USA, as the flagship show also ended its nine-season run in September.

The Gina Torres-led spinoff followed her character, Jessica Pearson, from New York to Chicago, where she entered the rough-and-tumble political scene in the city as the mayor's (Morgan Spector) right-hand woman. The show also stars Simon Kassianides, Bethany Joy Lenz, Chantel Riley, Isabel Arraiza and Eli Goree. Suits stars Gabriel Macht and Rick Hoffman made guest appearances.
