Randeep Rai, who recently joined Anupamaa as Mohit, became a household name for his role as Sameer Maheshwari in Sony TV's popular show Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai. In a recent interview, he opened up about the much-talked-about second season of the show.
Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, set in the 1990s, first aired in 2017 and won the audience's hearts with its nostalgic storyline. The show had a successful two-year run before going off-air in 2019. The lead couple, Randeep Rai (Sameer) and Ashi Singh (Naina), received immense love for their on-screen chemistry. However, fans were heartbroken when the show ended.
Later, news surfaced that Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai might return with a second season, possibly with Randeep and Ashi continuing as the leads. However, things didn't work out as expected, and there has been no official confirmation about Season 2.
Recently, during a media interaction, Randeep was asked about the show's return. He responded, "Only God can answer if Season 2 of Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai will happen. I am ready to shoot if everything works out, and I believe Ashi Singh should be my co-star. Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai holds a special place in my heart, and I know it also does for the audience."
The show was inspired by the real-life love story of its producers, Shashi and Sumeet Mittal. It received widespread appreciation for its heartwarming narrative and performances, making it one of the most beloved shows on Indian television. Despite its conclusion, fans continue to hope for its return.
Will Season 2 ever happen? Only time will tell, but Randeep's words have certainly reignited fans' hopes!
