#Stylebuzz: Shraddha Arya Breaking The Stereotype In A 'Black Bridal Lehenga'

Because why not?!

Black, although the most harmless and widely preferred colour, suddenly gets turned down by wearers when it comes to an auspicious occasion. And for something as pious as a wedding function, it is a downright taboo.

A colour that can absorb faults so many, while make one appear slim and pretty, change the occasion, in a jiff it becomes an enemy. A phenomenon questioned by so many.

Though Black is a fashion's most favourite colour that brings in contradictions, uniqueness and makes a woman look elegant and classy irrespective of age, size and colour; it is often underplayed and its beauty is lost amidst the existing fashion myths.

Well, fashion is not just about wearing designer labels and keeping up with the trends, but it is more about wearing clothes that you love and feel comfortable in, even if it is a black lehenga for an occasion or a wedding. It's time to stand out and think out-of-the-box.

And breaking the fashion norms is Shraddha Arya's recent photoshoot, which pushes us to rethink a black lehenga for an occasion if not pheras.

Celebrity stylist, Neha Advik Mahajan, challenges the conventions by dolling-up the Kundali Bhagya actress in a jet black lehenga, abound with quirky gold print and embroidery.

The Stylist further goes on to explaining, how a bride could incorporate 'black' in her trousseau... "It is a known fact that Indian woman's trousseau is essentially full of reds, pinks and all the bright colours in the colour wheel. However, the new age brides are getting experimental and desire to break-out of the conventional norms by embracing black with the maximum universal appeal but deprived of its due in weddings. It is time that we add a black ensemble in the basket. Keeping it dominated with metallic accents preferably. As you can see, my muse Shraddha Arya is looking royal in one."
