Star Plus to air an adaptation of Zindagi Show 'Fatmagul' in March!!

In the era of popular naagins and bleeding eyes, Star plus is seen experimenting with its programming style with shows like P.O.W. - Bandi Yuddh Ke and Chandra Nandini. Following a step ahead, the channel is venturing into a new adaption series of extensively popular Turkish drama Fatmagul', which was last seen on Zindagi. The series narrates the story of a rape survivor evolving as a fighter and love transforming a hate relationship into an intense strong bond.

The series is said to go live in March on Star Plus. The finite series will be aired on weekdays. Prime character Amala, will be played by Razia Sultan fame Pankhuri Awasthy, and newbie Rajveer Singh will be playing the male lead as Abeer. Another important character in the show is Dev, to be played by Anant.

The curiosity rises if 24 frames Media, will match the marks of original series in its adaptation for Star Plus. The title of the show is yet to be finalized.

Now please don't say that [Ph]Ekta's 'outsmarting' protege, Ms Rashmi Sharma had actually acquired the rights from HBO. Although, STAR PLUS must've at least paid the suitable 'premium' (not an oxymoron) to the original makers to "destroy" their original-plot. Much like what Karan Johar does [for all of his movies], exceptions are only there it is 'under cover' by the experienced and biggies like Balaji.

Damn no please ... Fatmagul was epic. D story line, the characters.. They looked real.

Desi Fatmagul will fall in love with Desi Kerim in a week instead of being cold with him nearly half of the show as shown in the original version. I wonder how they will show desi Asu/Hacer? Will they show guts to show her prostitute? I hope it does not becomes another Suraj-Chakor or another Lakhan-Poonam.

Kill me.
What an awesome show was Fatmagul...with its exploration of the human psyche, both of the victim and the rapists, and of her husband who was guilt ridden for having done nothing to prevent it.
Its sensitive depiction of how the heinous act of rape affects the individual, her family...and is in fact a crime against society.How the victim faces social stigma and has to battle so many odds to get justice.

All this will go down the drain in the Indian version.
