SRK wins case against copyright violation...

The family of the script writer of Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi dragged SRK to court for copyright violation. However, Red Chillies Idiot Box won the case today...

Red Chillies Idiot Box' comedy sitcom, Ghar Ki Baat Hai is launching on NDTV Imagine from tonight, January 30th at the 9.30 PM slot, Friday to Sunday.

As said by Shahrukh Khan in the recent press conference held for thelaunch of the show, "Ghar Ki Baat Hai is a tribute he wants to pay to the very popular show of yester years, Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi".

However, this did put forward few hurdles for the production house, wherein Neha Joshi daughter of Late Sharad Joshi, a scriptwriter of the 1984 comedy show on DD Yeah Jo Hai Zindgai filed a petition against Shah Rukh Khan's company Red Chillies Private Ltd, NDTV Imagine channel and the Oberois, who were the Producers then, for copy writing their show without prior permission ,and demanded a stay order for the telecast of the show.

According to our source from the production house, "SRK was dragged to court for copyright violation. The hearing for the case was scheduled for today, and apparently Red Chillies won the case".

Elaborating on the hearing given, our source says, "It was a very irrelevant petition. We had officially informed the original producers of the show, the Oberois, and only then had gone ahead with the making. Sharad Joshi was a script writer, and not the producer of Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, and hence the case was declared null and void".

Well, a feather in the cap for SRK just before the launch of his Ghar Ki Baat Hai
