Squid Game 2 star Park Sung-Hoon, YoonA's The Tyrant's Chef script reading schedule cancelled

Squid Game 2 actor Park Sung-Hoon who played the role of Hyun-Ju on the show is getting immense love for his superlative performance on the show. On Squid Game 2, he played the role of a former special military officer who gets ostracized after he decides to undergo a gender-affirming sex change surgery. His badass character teamed with moments of gentleness made him stand out in the cast. But the actor is in trouble after he uploaded a Japanese 18+ parody video of Squid Game 2 which featured adult actresses indulging in rape porn on his Instagram story. This left netizens disgusted.

After this, there was a demand that Park Sung-Hoon be replaced from The Tyrant’s Chef that stars YoonA in the lead. Her fans said she deserved a better co-star who was not a ‘misogynist’. Now, reports have come that the script reading schedule of The Tyrant’s Chef has been postponed. While initial reports suggested the production was worried given the kind of backlash, Park Sung-Hoon was getting, it seems that it untrue. tvN has confirmed that they halted the session due to the period of national mourning in Korea. There was a seven-day mourning period after the Jeju air crash that killed over 170 people in Muan.

The Tyrant’s Chef is a webtoon that deals with the royal period. YoonA was last seen on the show King The Land with Lee Jun-Ho. People said makers should bring back the hit pair of YoonA and Lee Jun-Ho or rope in Kim Seon-Ho. Squid Game 2 has topped the Netflix ratings in 92 countries. Park Sung-Hoon was earlier seen in shows like Queen Of Tears where he played Eunsung and The Glory. In fact, his villainous performance in The Glory was amongst the best in a show packed with great performances.
