Squid Game 2 is coming on Netflix on December 26, 2024. Fans of The Trunk star Gong Yoo will be happy to know that he is making a comeback as the mysterious ddajikaman, who is known as the salesman of the deadly but thrilling game. In a recent interview, he said that he has not watched the entire series so far. However, his fans can expect something really crazy. Gong Yoo said that he met Lee Jung-jae at the gym and he told him that Yoo had done a crazy and fantastic job in season two. It seems the cast and crew have one more winner on the show.
Gong Yoo also said that the creator of Squid Game, Hwang Dong-Hyuk is his good friend. They worked together in The Silenced. In fact, when the creator narrated to him the concept of the show, Yoo was apprehensive as the game is a very local Korean one. He said he agreed for the salesman’s role just for fun. Gong Yoo will make a return along with Lee Jung-jae, Wi Ha-Joon, Lee Byung-Hun and others. There are some additions in form of actors like Park Sunghoon, Im Si-Wan and Choi Seunghun aka TOP of Big Bang.
Gong Yoo’s recent show The Trunk has got a mixed response from critics. While many felt the plot was nothing to write home about, the acting of Seo Hyun-Jin and Gong Yoo is being appreciated all over. Both of them delivered a masterclass performance as Han Seong-hwan and In-Ji.
