Sourabh Raaj Jain on comparisons between Tu Dhadkan Main Dil & Mohit Malik's KKB: 'That show was REMAKE..'

Sourabh Raaj Jain, who is all set to entertain the audience with his stint in Star Plus' show 'Tu Dhadkan Main Dil,' got in an exclusive chat with India Forums and spoke about the reports of his show being a remake of Mohit Malik's very popular 'Kulfi Kumar Baajewala.'

Reacting to the said reports, Sourabh, denying the same, says, ''I don't think so. This is a fresh concept, a fresh take. I think so.''

The actor further states that Kulfi Kumar Baajewala was itself a remake. ''In fact, as far as I know, Kulfi Kumar Bajewala is a remake of a Bengali show. But I don't think that any show can be made as a remake. Everyone has their own point of views. Everyone has their own understanding. If it had to be made as a remake, then they would have dubbed the Bengali show in Hindi and shown it. But that is not the case. Characters are different. Situations are going to be different. It is becaause of the bond between father and daughter that people are drawing the comparisons, but that is not the case.''

In fact, as far as I know, Kulfi Kumar Bajewala is a remake of a Bengali show. But I don't think that any show can be made as a remake.

For the uninformed, a few media reports called 'Tu Dhadkan Main Dil' not just any original drama, but the official remake of the hit Star Plus series Kulfi Kumar Bajewala. Kulfi Kumar Bajewala was one of Star Plus’ most beloved shows, which aired from 2018 to 2020. The original series starred Mohit Malik as Sikandar Singh Gill, a successful singer with a complicated personal life. The story revolved around his emotional journey with his long-lost daughter, played by child actress Aakriti Sharma. The show also featured Anjali Anand in a pivotal role and was praised for its heartfelt storytelling, strong performances, and soulful music. It enjoyed a successful run and developed a strong fanbase across age groups.
