'Sooryavanshi' & '83' Meeting For Postponing The Release Ends In a Stalemate

The coronavirus is no longer a novel occurrence where the outbreak has now become a pandemic, and one country after the other has been shutting down events, releases and several other things to prevent the spread of the same.

Only a while ago, it was confirmed that all the sporting events, that includes their football league Serie A, has been suspended until April 3rd. In India, even though the reach isn't as alarming as it seems but the numbers seem to be rising with every passing day. Owing to that, there were several claims that release dates of Sooryavanshi and 83 may be postponed.

However, a meeting pertaining to the same was recently held at Rohit Shetty’s office in Andheri West today. According to a report in SpotboyE, the dynamics and modalities could not be worked out, at least not today. The main debate that kept going back and forth was how to restrategize where to place the films as far as the release dates are concerned, vis-a-vis the competition and the number of screens available.

It is also being said that the box-office trend of the recent release Baaghi 3 starring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor will be looked upon especially the drop in the Monday business to gauge how the audience has taken to the health scare.

The next meeting date isn't decided as of yet but it will be happening soon.
