Sonia's Homecoming in Kumkum

Sonia Singh, currently seen as Dr. Keerthi in Dill Mill Gaye was earlier essaying the role of the evil bahu - Antara Wadhwa in the afternoon soap, Kumkum-Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan. Now, after 6 months, she returns to the show. In her earlier negative avatar, she successfully managed to throw Kumkum, her mother-in-law, out of her own home.. Whether she continues to be negative or returns in a positive avatar, remains to be seen. We spoke to Sonia to find out more..

So are you all set to make a comeback to Kumkum? "Yes, Kumkum has been my favorite show. I really missed being a part of it. I am very excited about my return". Have you started shooting for the serial? "No, I will start shooting in 4 days; my entry will be shown by the end of this month." So what is Antara upto now? "Well, there is a twist in the tale, but I will not reveal everything. Antara has done so many bad deeds, that she has changed with time. She will make her entry as a positive character". Antara and positive? Is this another twist in the tale? "It is for the audience to see whether she remains positive or is it yet another scheming plan of Antara (laughs)."

How does it feel to be the only Old face in the younger generation of Kumkum? "I feel happy that the team of Kumkum have accepted me and liked me in this role. But I will surely miss Vivan, Gaurav and Megha, with whom I have shared good screen space before. I have worked with the girl playing Sia, we were together in Bhabhi. But I have not worked with others, looking forward to meeting them."

So how is Antara going to look now? Will the positive Antara get a makeover? "Surprise!! Keep watching (laughs). Frankly speaking, I have no clue how Antara will look. But yes, she will surely look different; we are working on the look. As of now, nothing is decided."

Well..one thing is decided! With Sonia's re-entry in the show, Kumkum-Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan is all set for some major twists. Hope the twists & turns continue to keep the viewers hooked and at the edge of their seats. We wish Sonia all the very best..
