Akshay Dev Bindra shoots for Kumkum Bhagya despite Injury

Zee TV’s popular show Kumkum Bhagya continues to keep audiences engaged with its intense drama and unexpected twists, especially after its recent generational leap. As the show gears up for a major turning point, actor Akshay Dev Bindra, who plays Raunak, displayed remarkable dedication by continuing to shoot despite sustaining a hairline fracture.

During the filming of an intense action sequence at a club, Raunak was supposed to step in and protect Prarthana (played by Pranali Rathod). Although safety precautions were in place, an unforeseen incident led to Akshay injuring his right little finger. Initially, he felt only mild discomfort, unaware of the severity of the injury. However, as the pain worsened, he realized something was wrong. A medical examination confirmed that he had suffered a hairline fracture.

Despite being advised to take a break, Akshay chose to push through and continue filming. His determination left the entire team in awe, as he remained focused on delivering his performance without letting the injury affect his scenes.

Sharing his experience, Akshay said, “The sequence was physically demanding, involving a fight scene where I had to defend Prarthana. Even though all safety measures were taken, I still ended up injuring my finger. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but as the pain intensified, I realized it wasn’t a minor injury. When the doctor confirmed it was a fracture, I knew it would take time to heal, but I didn’t want to pause shooting. The show must go on, and I’m committed to my work. Thankfully, my co-stars and the production team have been incredibly supportive, ensuring I get the necessary medical care while continuing to shoot. Their encouragement has meant a lot to me.”
