Sonakshi Sinha’s brother Kussh opens up on rumours of tension in the family due to inter-religious marriage

Kussh Sinha, Sonakshi's brother, has broken his silence about the rumored family rift following her marriage to Zaheer Iqbal. In a recent Zoom interview, Kussh clarified that he attended Sonakshi's wedding, dismissing online speculation about family tension.

"I live life very simply. If I know my own truth, then people can say a thousand different things. It doesn’t affect me," Kussh said. Further addressing viral speculation that neither he nor his brother Luv were present at the wedding. “I know people were saying there was some random chatter going on. And I was like, okay, so if someone wants to bring this up, it’s their agenda. I have nothing to do with it."

He added that just because he wasn’t visible in pictures doesn’t mean he wasn’t present. “If you can’t see me in pics, it doesn’t mean I wasn’t there. I don’t need to put everything out there every time," he stated.

Talking about Luv Sinha’s absence, Kussh declined to speak on behalf of his brother or sister, saying, “I just put it simply because I don’t want to comment on Luv’s behalf. And I don’t want to comment on Sonakshi’s behalf here also. I think everybody is allowed to have their individual stunts. As long as they’re doing it with honesty, I think that’s okay."

Kussh expressed support for Sonakshi's choices. “It is how it is, and I respect that. She’s an adult, she’s an individual. She’s allowed to make her choice. And as my dad always said, she’s not doing anything illegal, right?"

Regarding Zaheer Iqbal, Kussh said, “We’re okay! I don’t have anything against him that way. We’re okay."

Sonakshi and Zaheer tied the knot on June 23, 2024, in Mumbai. They first met at a party hosted by Salman Khan. Zaheer made his debut with Salman’s home production in Notebook. They worked together in Double XL co-starring Huma Qureshi. Together, they also featured in a music video titled Blockbuster.
