Sobhita Dhulipala and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's wedding saree had this in common?

Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya tied the knot at Annapurna Studios on December 4, 2024. The wedding was a small affair with family members and close friends in attendance. Sobhita Dhulipala made for a stunning bride. From her red saree for the haldi to yellow khadi one for the mangalasnaanam, she radiated traditional beauty at its finest. Sobhita Dhulipala wore a gold saree made of Kanjeevaram fabric for the wedding. It seems the actress ditched stylists and went to authentic shops to buy stuff for her wedding trousseau. She did a marvelous job as she is looking heavenly in the pics.

It seems Neeta Lulla was roped in to design Sobhita Dhulipala’s look with a matching blouse and other touches to the saree. The gold saree had motifs done all over it. Fans who keenly followed the marriage of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan know that Neeta Lulla was behind her bridal look. She chose the deep turmeric yellow saree that Aishwarya wore as a typical Tulu bride. It was said that the saree had cost in crores. However, Neeta Lulla had said talk of it being priced in crores was nonsense. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan too opted for traditional South Indian jewellery.

Sobhita Dhulipala wore an antique Kanjeevaram saree that had real gold threads on it. The saree is called the pattu cheera, and is worn by brides. From a basikam to a heavy gold maathapatti, and a bullaki (nose pin), Sobhita went all out with her jewellery. She also donned a three-layered gold necklace, gold kadhas, and a classy bajubandh to look like a literal version of an Indian Goddess. Both Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sobhita Dhulipala come from shipping families. While late K Rai served in the Merchant Navy, Sobhita’s father is an Indian Navy officer. Nagarjuna shared pics saying that his daughter-in-law had brought immense joy and happiness to their home.
