However, a family member close to the couple finally opened up in an interview with ETimes, putting all rumours to rest. The insider clarified, “She wore anti-fit, not maternity. It’s amazing how a change in silhouette can birth a whole new storyline.” This statement made it clear that the actress wasn’t expecting a child and that fans were simply reading too much into her fashion choices.

The family member also chuckled about how public figures like Sobhita are constantly analysed, sometimes without reason. So far, neither Sobhita nor Chaitanya or the Akkineni family have made any public comment on the rumour.

The couple tied the knot on December 4, 2024, at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad in a close-knit ceremony. Their relationship had been kept under wraps for a long time. Chay, in an earlier interview with Hindustan Times, spoke about how he and Sobhita connect deeply over cinema and travel. He had said, “She is from Vizag, and I love Vizag. Even though we are from different cities, we share a cultural bond.”
