"Singing was in my destiny" Says Shehzad Deol

Model & reality TV star, Shehzad Deol’s debut song, Hold My Hand, has been creating quite a stir digitally, crossing the million mark on YouTube in less than 24 hours. 

However, it wasn’t until the age of 23-24 when Shehzad developed his interest in singing. “Despite Punjab being a music-based industry and my mom being a trained classical singer, although she never followed it up professionally, I never thought I would be a singer myself, the interest developed when I was about 23-24. I believe it’s been in my density,” reveals Shehzad. 

For the debut singer, the experience of recording the song was new and exciting. “Recording the song & matching the beat in a studio was a completely different and new experience for me. Prior to this I always thought singers recorded the song in one go but it’s like acting where you are given a lot of takes until you record/ get the perfect take for the song. In the last year and a half, I have been practicing and learning music which has helped me gain a lot of knowledge & insight into music. It’s been very exciting. It’s been quite insightful and exciting at the same time,” informs Shehzad.
