Veteran actor Deb Mukherjee, father of filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, passed away on March 14, 2025, due to age-related ailments. The film industry has been offering condolences to Ayan and his family during this difficult time. Even days after the loss, Bollywood stars continue to visit the Mukerji residence to support the grieving filmmaker.

On March 16, parents-to-be Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani arrived at Ayan Mukerji’s home. The couple was seen stepping out of their black Range Rover, dressed in simple yet elegant outfits. Sidharth opted for a blue co-ord set, while Kiara wore a pink kurta paired with white pants. Their visit was a quiet gesture of support, reflecting the deep bond shared with Ayan.

Soon after, Rani Mukerji was spotted entering the Mukerji residence. Dressed in a white outfit, she came to pay her respects to her uncle and console the family. Rani has always been close to Ayan, and her presence during this time speaks volumes about their relationship.

Filmmaker Karan Johar also made his way to Ayan’s home. KJo, who shares a strong professional and personal bond with Ayan, arrived in his luxury car wearing a white shirt and baggy blue jeans. His visit was a show of solidarity, standing by his friend in a moment of sorrow.

Earlier, on the day of Deb Mukherjee’s passing, Alia Bhatt cut short her birthday vacation and returned to Mumbai with Ranbir Kapoor. While Alia attended the funeral, Ranbir actively took part in the rituals. Several other Bollywood celebrities, including Anil Kapoor, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Salim Khan, Shaheen Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, and music composer Pritam, also arrived to pay their last respects.
