Siddhant Chaturvedi Shuts Down Ananya Panday with a Brutal Reply over her Nepotism Comment; Wins the Internet

The year 2019 saw a number of fresh talents paving their way into the movies. A bunch of them made an appearance at the Bollywood roundtable conference, that included new stars like Vishal Jethwa from Mardaani 2, Siddhant Chaturvedi from Gully Boy, Geetika Vidya Ohlyan from Soni, Abhimanyu Dassani from Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, and Saloni Batra from Soni.

All the newcomers mentioned above made their debut in 2019 and spoke about their struggles to bag a movie and their journey up till here. Amidst the entire bunch, SOTY 2 star Ananya Panday was the only odd one out, as she is a star kid unlike the other actors present at the roundtable discussion. This made way for the obvious conversation about Nepotism. 

Ananya did not shy away from talking about Nepotism, and also defended herself saying that even if she is the daughter of actor Chunky Panday, it’s not easy for her. However, her comments did not impress the actor sitting next to her, Siddhant Chaturvedi, who had a rather savage response to her views.

Everyone says that it’s all glamorous and I’ve gotten everything that I wanted. But I’m very grateful that I’m my Dad’s daughter and I wouldn’t want it any other way. When people hate on me for nepotism, I’m not going to shy away that I’m Chunky Pandey’s daughter. My Dad has worked really hard and he’s still working.Just because my Dad is an actor I’m not gonna say no to a film. My Dad never did a Dharma film, my Dad never went on Koffee with Karan. It isn’t as easy people say it is. Everyone has their own journey.

To this, Gully Boy’s MC Sher responded by saying, “Everyone has their own struggle. But difference yahi hai ki jahan hamare sapne poore hotein hai, wahan inka struggle shuru hota hai.”

And well, this smashing answer has won hearts of netizens all over the Internet, who have hailed the actor for his bold answer.
