In a candid conversation with Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Shweta Tiwari revealed that she wasn't a strict mother in the classical sense, but she did have some firm rules in place for her children when they were young. "Main strict nahi thi kuch rules the. Aap bhar ja rahe ho, tumhari age 11 baje ke bad bhar rehne ki nahi hai, tum 11 baje tk vapis aaoge, ya ek baje ka bolke gayi ho toh ek baje I want you at the door, you cannot say I am leaving at 1. 1 AM is the time to come at home, not leaving the party, you have to be here," she explained.
Shweta also shared that she would ask for the contact numbers of her child's friends and their mothers, ensuring she knew who her child was with. "Jis party me jaa rahe ho kis group ke saath ja rahe ho, sare friends ka number chaheye mujhe, unki Mummy’s ka number chaheye and she was like mummy phone mt karna. Maine kaha mai phone nahi krungi lekin mujhe sabke number chaheye."
Shweta further shared that she was protective of her daughter due to the societal pressures and dangers. "I was like little scared like Ladki hai, jamana bhi ajeeb sa tha. Palak doesn’t drink but other’s do na. Poori schooling uske pas phone nahi tha. Usko phone mila when she came in college tb usko pehla phone mila. She got makeup when she was 16 years. She used to go to school without makeup."
