Shriya Pilgaonkar on being a part of 'Dry Day': Collaborating with such an amazing team was truly rewarding

Renowned for her diverse acting skills showcased in groundbreaking series like 'Guilty Minds,' 'The Broken News,' and 'Taaza Khabar,' Shriya Pilgaonkar is gearing up to take on the lead role in Nikhhil Advani's upcoming production. Widely recognized for bringing her characters to life with finesse, Shriya has earned a string of awards and nominations. Her latest venture, the Amazon Original film titled 'Dry Day,' promises to be another feather in her cap.

Set in the heartland of the country, 'Dry Day' is a comedy-drama featuring Gannu (played by Kumar), a small-time goon, on a journey against the system. The film, directed by the talented Saurabh Shukla and produced by Emmay Entertainment's Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani, boasts an impressive cast, including Jitendra Kumar and Annu Kapoor in pivotal roles. 

Shriya is eager about her involvement in the project, expressing, “The story of 'Dry Day' is both entertaining and emotionally resonant. Portraying the character of Nirmala was a delightful challenge, and collaborating with such an amazing team was truly rewarding. Emmay Entertainment has consistently delivered some of the best shows recently, and I feel privileged to work with them. Additionally, this marks my first experience performing a Holi song on screen, which is a source of great excitement for me."

'Dry Day' is slated for release on Prime Video across India and in more than 240 countries and territories on 22nd December. The film will be available in Hindi, along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, promising a wider audience the chance to experience this captivating comedy-drama.
