Shreyas Talpade says, 'Clinically, I was dead" as he reflects on recent heart attack

Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade recently opened up about his harrowing experience of suffering a massive heart attack on December 14, 2023, shortly after completing the shoot for his upcoming film, "Welcome To The Jungle." The news of his health crisis sent shockwaves through the industry, triggering an outpouring of wishes from concerned fans across social media platforms.

In a candid conversation with Bombay Times, Shreyas revealed the severity of the situation, disclosing that he was clinically dead upon arrival at the hospital. Detailing it he said, “Clinically, I was dead. It was a massive cardiac arrest. A wake-up call would be an understatement." Shreyas disclosed that both his main arteries were severely blocked, with one artery being 100% blocked and the other 99%. Medical intervention came in the form of angioplasty, during which a stent was placed to alleviate the blockages.

Recalling the frightening moments leading to his hospitalization, Shreyas shared that, despite being in close proximity to the hospital gate, an unforeseen barricade forced a U-turn. Suddenly, his face went numb, and he lost consciousness, experiencing a massive cardiac arrest. Shreyas credited his wife, Deepti, for her quick thinking and resourcefulness in climbing over him to call for help when they were stuck in traffic.

Doctors at the hospital performed life-saving measures, including CPR and electrical shocks, ultimately reviving the actor. Shreyas emphasized the significance of timely intervention and the swift response from those around him.

The actor admitted to feeling extreme fatigue in the preceding months, attributing it to his hectic work schedule. Despite regular medical check-ups and taking medication for high cholesterol, Shreyas stressed the importance of not taking health lightly, especially considering his family's history of heart ailments.

As Shreyas Talpade continues his recovery at home, he shared a heartfelt message with his fans, urging them not to overlook signs of fatigue or dismiss symptoms that might indicate underlying health issues.
