Shreyas Talpade returns to the set of 'Welcome To The Jungle', says: I kept checking my heart rate

Shreyas Talpade faced a daunting ordeal when he experienced a heart attack on the set of "Welcome To The Jungle." Recently returning to filming, the actor expressed mixed emotions about being back on set. In an interview, he credited Akshay Kumar and Ahmed Khan for their support during his health crisis.

Speaking about his return to the set, Shreyas admitted to feeling apprehensive. After a two-and-a-half-month hiatus, his doctor advised him to proceed cautiously, avoiding strenuous activities like action scenes for the next six months. 

He also quipped that there were little butterflies in his stomach before shooting. 

Recalling his first day on sets, Shreyas said that it was a day of mixed emotions. 

“I was happy to be back on set, but at the same time, there was this little bit of nervous energy in me that ‘is everything okay? Will I be okay?’ I kept checking my heart rate on my watch. Once I was past that, I started shooting.” 

He also added that he wants to take it slow and give his body enough time to recover. Reflecting on his first day back, Shreyas described a blend of happiness and nerves. Despite initial jitters, he eventually focused on his work. Citing his family's history of heart issues, Shreyas revealed the severity of his condition, having been declared clinically dead upon arrival at the hospital.

"Welcome To The Jungle" was unveiled in a unique manner on September 9, 2023, utilizing Acapella, a first in world cinema. Crafted by Ahmed Khan and composed by Meet Bros, the film announcement marked a significant milestone in cinematic innovation.
