While there was a huge controversy around Srashti Maheshwari quitting Thapki...Pyaar Ki due to sexual approaches by a senior crew member of the show, the good looking girl in no time has bagged a new show!

The show titled Dil Ko Aaj Fir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai (BBC Worldwide) featuring Shrashti as the main lead along with Adnan Khan (last seen in Channel V's Friends Conditions Apply) and newbie Shivam Sharma telecast on August 17 on DD National. The daily show has been given a time-slot of 9 pm.

Highlighting the past incident, Srashti said, "I do not want to dig in to what happened in the past but most actors have bagged the show by compromising in this industry and hence the aspiring who want to come up with hard work are suppressed and are out of work. I stood up against what I felt wrong and here I am with a new show!"

Shedding some light on her character in the show, the actor stated, "Well, I play Roshni, an obedient girl who lives for the happiness of her parents. Soon things change when her parents plan to get her married to Neil (Shivam Sharma) who considers women to be inferior and that they are meant to be nothing more than housewives."

Of what we hear, the show will introduce a twist when Akarsh Jai Singh (Adnan Khan), a passionate dancer will tour Karnal in search of an aspirant. He will encounter Roshni and will encourage her to follow her dreams. The show will also add a romantic angle of Roshni's confused love interest in Neil and Akarsh.

When we contacted newbie Shivam Sharma and quizzed him about his excitement with his debut show, he averred, "I belong to Delhi and auditioned for the show from there. I bagged this show within a week and I cried a lot when I learnt that I was selected. I hope I can do justice with my character and people acknowledge my character."
