Shireen Mirza finds love during COVID-19 lockdown

Actor Shireen Mirza is affectionately known for portraying the role of Simmi Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohobbatein and while she has had an array of lovely friends from the industry, she has been rather tight-lipped about her private life as of yet.

But now, she has finally come forward to reveal the love of her life in an interview with Bombay Times. Talking about it, Mirza said, “I have never spoken about my dating life because I was committed to work. I have been single for a long time and now I have found my love in Hasan. This is a kind of a lockdown love story. I met him six months back.”

Hasan works in an IT company and lives in Delhi. Talking about how it began, Mirza said, “A year ago when I was travelling to my hometown Jaipur, I needed a charger for my phone at Mumbai airport and asked him for one. We shared a few words with each other at that point. A few months later, he messaged me on Instagram and we started talking. I had tested positive for COVID-19 in September and had a lot of free time, that’s when we got to know more about each other and fell in love. Later we met and instantly clicked. The feeling was strong from both sides, so we shared it with our parents and made it official.”

She added, “I would feel bad about that because I have worked hard to be where I am today. But Hasan has never said something like that to me. Instead, he is pushes me to do better work. We are like best friends. He is chivalrous and a gentleman and we respect each other a lot.”

Concluding, she said, “We plan to get married this year if everything goes well.”
