Shilpa Shetty opens up on the time when she wasn't counted among the top 10 actors

In 1993, Shilpa Shetty Kundra made a sparkling debut in Bollywood alongside the legendary Shah Rukh Khan in the film "Baazigar." Now, as she marks her thirtieth year in the Hindi film industry, Shilpa Shetty Kundra takes a moment to reflect on her remarkable journey. The actress is currently busy shooting for Rohit Shetty's Indian Police Force.

In a recent conversation with ETimes, Shilpa Shetty Kundra shared her thoughts on what she calls the "poetic justice of life." She candidly recalled a time when she wasn't counted among the top ten actors of her era.

She shared, "I feel there is poetic justice of life, always. I was never in the top 10 actors (list). I may have received a lot of love and adulation but never counted in the top 10 actors - maybe lack of opportunity, or what, I don't know. Today, look at me! I am doing biggest series, I have just finished filming a movie, I am doing a multilingual film, and I have nothing to complain about today. We all have our journey, I have carved a niche on TV, my brands are doing well." 

Talking on her work front, Shilpa Shetty Kundra's last appearance was in the action-comedy film "Nikamma," directed by Sabbir Khan. Up next, she is set to star in "Sukhee," alongside talented actors like Amit Sadh and Kusha Kapila, among others. In this film, the 48-year-old actress takes on the role of a Punjabi housewife embarking on a journey to Delhi with her friends to attend a school reunion after two decades.
