Sherlyn Chopra takes a dig at Deepika Padukone; says weraing saffron coloured bikini is not acceptable
Sherlyn Chopra recently slammed Deepika Padukone and accused her of being a sympathizer of the Tukde Tukde gang.
Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan has been making a lot of buzz since its announcment. Well now it has become the reason for headlines these day after the films first song Besharam Rang released. Netizens have bashed the makers and Deepika Padukone for wearing a saffron coloured bikni in the song.
Despite the outpouring of industry support for Deepika Padukone, Sherlyn Chopra chose to back Madhya Pradesh minister Dr. Narottam Mishra for his remarks regarding Deepika's bikini in Pathaan's song "Besharam Rang."
Sherlyn told a news portal that Deepika, the sympathiser of Tukde Tukde gang gyrating in a saffron coloured bikini in a film song titled ‘Besharam Rang’ is most certainly not acceptable to the millions of Hindus who consider saffron as the colour of purity, faith and devotion.
According to a report from India Today, Sherlyn agrees wholeheartedly with Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra who, in response to a question about Shah Rukh Khan praying to Vaishnodevi Maa and Aamir Khan performing Kalash Pooja, stated that while people can pray to whoever they choose, they must also be considerate of the sentiments and beliefs of others..
Mishra had raised issues with the song in a tweet that read, ‘The costumes are highly objectionable and the song has been shot with a dirty mindset. The scenes and costumes of the songs should be corrected, otherwise, whether the film should be allowed in Madhya Pradesh or not, it would be a matter of consideration.’
For the unversed, ‘Pathaan’ is slated for a Republic Day release next year in January. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the spy thriller also stars Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham in lead roles.
