Sham Kaushal: I didn't want Vicky to assume I'd do anything for him if he chose acting as a career

Vicky Kaushal's father Sham Kaushal, a well-known stunt coordinator and action director, recently disclosed in a conversation with a news portal how Vicky chose to pursue acting after completing his engineering degree. Sham Kaushal, speaking with Miss Malini's team, recounted how he couldn't say no to Vicky when he first approached him and expressed his desire to join the movies soon after completing his engineering course. 

He said that the one thing that worried him was that Vicky must not follow this line under the impression that because his dad is an action director, he would be able to find work quickly. Sham wanted to make sure Vicky understood how diligently he had to work in this profession and that he shouldn't expect his father to do anything for him; instead, he would have to acquire it and respect the establishment.

Vicky took a six-month acting course and also attended theatre before he began auditioning, according to the well-known action coordinator. Vicky Kaushal made his acting debut as the young Omi in Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana.

Speaking about it, Sham said, 

“He got a small role in Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, when he got an offer I was shooting outdoors and he had to go to Ludhiana the next morning. Some people told him not to go for a small role like this, he asked me, what to do. I asked him to follow his heart and 10 minutes later he told me that he was doing it. Vicky is very honest to his craft.”

On the work front, Vicky Kaushal has many projects lined up. He lately wrapped up shooting Laxman Utekar's rom-com film.
