Shahid Kapoor wraps the 1st schedule of Batti Gul Meter Chalu

The actor takes it to his Instagram story to announce it.

Post the release and success of "Padmaavat" Shahid Kapoor had left shooting for his next film, "Batti Gul Meter Chalu". The film is being helmed by Shree Narayan Singh, who is known for his work in "Toilet - Ek Prem Katha".

He took to his Instagram story to announce it. He shared a selfie sporting an uber cool look and said, "SCHED 1 WRAP ON BATTI GUL METER CHALU"

However, talking about the film, Shahid will be seen playing the role of a lawyer while the movie is based on the issue of electricity. Opposite Shahid actresses, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam will also be seen with him in the lead roles.

It is slated to release on August 31, 2018.
