Shahid Kapoor to QUIT Padmavati?

The most recent daddy in town, Shahid Kapoor doesn't seem to get enough of his darling daughter, and we don't blame him at all. The actor was on a paternity leave and had stopped shooting for a while, so as to spend time with his wife, Mira Rajput Kapoor.

But the actor has reportedly extended his paternity leave, to be a hands on father and doesn't want to leave the side of the gorgeous mother and daughter. A source close to the 'Udta Punjab' actor said to a leading daily, "Shahid hadn't actually signed the contract. But he had agreed verbally to play Deepika's husband in Padmavati. So officially, if he decides to extend his paternity leave he is not really opting out. He never said he was doing the film. So where is the need to explain his departure?"

There is another problem apart from Shahid's paternity, says the source, "You see, Deepika is a lot taller than Shahid, and the difference in their height would be very conspicuous. How would it look if the king doesn't match the height of the queen?"
