Among other endearing monikers like "chocolate boy" and dancing superstar, Shahid Kapoor seems to have earned himself a rather surprising tag recently: India's Tom Cruise!

This surprising comparison was conferred upon him by none other than the producers of 2010's spy caper Knight And Day, starring Cruise alongside Cameron Diaz. And thus his latest release -which may not have earned the commercial and critical accolades it had promised - might have helped him bag B-town's next big blockbuster.

Fox Studios has decided to produce a Hindi remake of the successful action-comedy, and they've zeroed in on Shahid to fill Cruise's shoes. They feel that Shahid has both the range and the charisma to carry off the character's energy and idiosyncrasies convincingly. The film will go on floor next year, with Siddharth Anand chosen to don the director's cap.

A film that make a place on many a must list, for sure, but who of Bollywood's beauties is best suited for Cameron's character? Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen, may the best lass win!
