Shah Rukh Khan teaming up with Pushpa 2 maker Sukumar for a movie on the lines of this old thriller?

The talks of Shah Rukh Khan doing a South film has been doing the rounds since five years now. His Jawan with Atlee was one of Indian cinema’s biggest successes in 2023 – a landmark year for Bollywood. Fans have hoped that he will do a movie with either Lokesh Kanagaraj or Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Both of them have expressed a wish to work with him on many occasions. But it looks like Shah Rukh Khan might sign a film with Sukumar. Yes, fans are thrilled to know that he will do a film with the Pushpa hitmaker. Known as one of the best directors of the Telugu film industry Sukumar is also a brilliant writer.

It seems SRK has told him that he is a fan of his work. There are also rumours that he will do a cameo in the Atlee movie with Salman Khan. Pan-India movies are making excellent business sense in the country. The handle also wrote that the film will be on the lines of Anjaam. The 90s film of Shah Rukh Khan had Madhuri Dixit in the role of an air-hostess who avenges the death of her husband from her obsessive lover, Shah Rukh Khan. The film was high on violence and did mediocre business at the box office.

Sukumar and SRK collab on the cards

From mid-May 2025, Shah Rukh Khan will start work on King that also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan and Abhay Verma. It will have a start to end schedule in all probability. The actor will also get back with Pathaan 2, which is also being planned by Aditya Chopra. It seems Ayan Mukerji might direct the movie. Sukumar is also the writer of Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s romantic drama film that is being directed by Buchi Babu Sana. Pushpa 2 made Rs 1000 crore plus in the Hindi speaking markets.
