Shah Rukh Khan shares Diwali picture, gets called Fake Muslim by Trolls; Shabana Azmi comes to rescue, slams trolls back

The festival of lights, Diwali lit up every nook and corner and the celebrations have been on full swing. With several celebrity Diwali parties and tons of pictures of stars dazzling in their best outfits, the Bollywood actors set the festive mood just right.

 Recently, the Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, posted a very adorable monochrome picture of him along with wife Gauri Khan and lil munchkin AbRam, all three sporting a tilak on their forehead. But, it looks like the post did not go down well with the netizens, who trolled him mercilessly on social media. The trolls called the superstar mean names and trolled him for sporting a tilak. King Khan wished his beloved fans on the special occasion of Diwali with this picture and wrote, "May your lives be lit up and happy." Check out his post below: 

While some stated that the Tilak is photoshopped, others trolled him for sporting the Tilak along with his family.

However, actress Shabana Azmi came to Khan’s rescue and slammed the trolls.

"Appalled to read that @iamsrk Diwali greeting invites the wrath of rabid Islamists, gets called a "False Muslim" for sporting a tilak!" FUNDOS get a life! Islam is not so weak that it stands threatened by what is a beautiful Indian custom. India's beauty is in her Ganga Jamuni tehzeeb, (sic)" Shabana Azmi wrote in a tweet.

Besides, before celebrating Diwali along with his industry friends and family in Mumbai, Shah Rukh Khan was in Delhi and had stated that he will take AbRam around and show him how the festival is celebrated in the national capital.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan has not featured in films ever since his last outing in December with Zero, which turned a dud on the box office. However, as per reports, the superstar will be announcing his upcoming projects on his birthday, on November 2. One of which is supposed to be with Rajkumar Hirani, he may also do a film with Tamil cinema's celebrated filmmaker S. Shankar, and he is also in a discussion with Gurinder Chadha of Bend it Like Beckham fame for a movie.
