Shah Rukh Khan along with his family to move out from 'Mannat' and relocate to a rented place - HERE's WHY

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his family are set to relocate from their iconic Mumbai residence, Mannat, as the house is scheduled for a grand renovation. The palatial bungalow, which has been home to SRK, his wife Gauri Khan, and their children Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam for over 25 years, will undergo structural modifications that require them to temporarily shift to a new address.

Reports indicate that the renovation at Mannat is expected to commence in May. The makeover includes a long-planned extension for which SRK had to obtain legal permission, as Mannat is a Grade III heritage structure. Modifications to such buildings require approval from relevant authorities before any structural work can take place. With everything now set, the transformation is likely to take up to two years, making it necessary for the Khan family to relocate.

During this period, Shah Rukh and his family will move to a luxury apartment in the Pali Hill area of Bandra. As per reports, they have leased four floors in a high-end residential complex owned by producer Vashu Bhagnani. The deal was finalized between SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Bhagnani’s children, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshika Deshmukh, who co-own the property, Puja Casa.

The temporary residence will house not just the Khan family but also their security personnel, staff, and even some office space. Though it is not as sprawling as Mannat, it provides adequate facilities to meet their requirements. The actor is reportedly paying a rent of Rs 24 lakh per month for the leased space, which includes two duplex apartments spread across the first, second, seventh, and eighth floors of the building. The agreement has been signed for three years, though the family might return to Mannat sooner, depending on the renovation timeline.

While the renovation is in progress, Shah Rukh Khan is also gearing up for his next big project, King. The much-anticipated film will feature his daughter, Suhana Khan, alongside actor Abhishek Bachchan. Fans are excited to see the father-daughter duo share screen space for the first time.
