SET: Voting public to be blamed for bad singers coming in Indian Idol

With the exit of talented Emon, Sony TV is denying rumours that there is no rigging in Indian Idol Voting process.

Sony Entertainment Television is strongly denying the rumours going around that there is some rigging going in Indian Idol voting process. An offical source said, "We have a reputed third party organization which audits the voting process, which is very fair. People are wrongly blaming us for Emon's and Chang's Ouster, You don't vote for the right singer, and then cry about a lesser person coming ahead. Prashant has a sizable number of people in his home area and the police force who are voting en block , so he is winning."

The source went on, "Don't the judges (Alisha wanted to walk out ) also complain about audiences voting pattern? Although Emon was a good singer, we alway knew that he will be out, because he did not have required public support."

On the question of making the vote figures public, our source said, "The format( Indian idol is international format) does not allow for the same . And secondly, if we do give the voting figures, will it not affect the next rounds result?". Taking a dig at the opposition, the source further went on to say that both those shows(Sa Re Gama SVOI) are homegrown and could have had the judges saving the contestants( which we cannot do, due to above format restriction) , but even then they prefer to ape us.

When reminded that something similar had happened during Qazi victory in Fame Gurukul2, the source empathetically denied any wrong doing even then too. "We Indian's like the underdog and support him, hence Qazi came ahead.. So please vote for your favorite contestant rather then just crib."

i think wrong voting is being done in indian idol.prashant should have get out in 6 or 7 gaala but can u imagine seeing him in final 2 .i hope he doesnt win .atlest amit is better than prasant.i thought tht emon will be the indian idol but he was voted out in last gala.i dont understand who is voting for prashant.plz plz make amit our indian ido he is worth it .

Emon was the only singer. Prashant and Amit noneof them are singer. What real singer is??? please go see Zee Sa re Ga ma Pa show. Both of them should be out from Indian Idol. Singer who can foreget the song or miss the bits can't be Indian Idol. Plzzz Sony TV do not promote show like this where ideals are like these ( who miss the bits or forgets the line) then god knows hat kind of voters would have voting for them.

I think it is not rumour, this the truth hich Sony is covering up.

prashant has every talent, he plays guitar well but he does not show his calibre because of his shyness .i think prashant is acquianted with rock music too bcoz darjiling and sikkim nepalis are well acquainted with rock music. he is a gem of indfian nepalis

Prashant was the week link on the show and has stayed on for tooo long - as a singer he is pitiful. Parleen,Deepali and Emon were much better than him and should have been up there with Amit. I know that Prashant will be II3 - but he does not deserve the title.

Every vote costs money, so a good singer who is not that well off does not get enough votes. That alone is a flaw. like it or not, the Indian idol is not the better singer but one who is able to get more people to spend money!

I dont think that its sony's fault, I mean Emon got voted out and he was my favorite, i was so sad when he got out, but he didnt have enough votes. The ppl voted for Prashant and Amit more...its not sony nor the public's falut that he got out, it was more that most of the public liked someone else.
