Recently, the Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster film ‘HIT’ was announced and the news had sparked curiosity among fans. While it was suggested that Rajkummar Rao will be leading the film, no hints about the female lead were unveiled.
On Friday, Sanya Malhotra announced that she has been confirmed as the leading lady in the Hindi remake of Telugu cop thriller HIT. The actress took to her Instagram handle and shared a stunning picture of herself as she shared the good news with her followers. She wrote:
"So happy to join the #HIT team! Looking forward to this one!"
Excited about joining the film, Sanya told Pinkvilla:
"I have watched HIT and I really liked the concept of the film. When the film was offered to me, I immediately said yes. It is a very interesting and intriguing story that deserves a mass audience. I am looking forward to this one & excited to work with Raj."
Director Sailesh Konalu , who helmed the original film will also be headlining the Hindi remake, and the film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju, Krishan Kumar and Kuldeep Rathore.
HIT stands for Homicide Intervention Team and the film revolves around a cop who is on the trail of a missing woman. The original Telugu film starred Vishwak Sen and Ruhami Sharma in the lead roles.
