Samay Raina FINALLY appears before Maharashtra Cyber cell after repeated summons, AVOIDS MEDIA APPEARANCE

Stand up comedian Samay Raina found himself in troubled waters after a clip of Ranveer Allahbadia and him on his show 'India's Got Latent,' went viral on the interent. Post the said clip went viral, Samay, Ranveer, Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Mukhija were summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber cell and the National Commision for Women (NCW) for the obscene remarks made on the show.

While Ranveer and Apoorva appeared before the NCW, Samay, who was on his 'Canada tour' for his show, missed repeated dates by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell who had rejected his plea to delay the hearing due to his 'prior commitments.' Well, the comedian has finally appeared before the Maharashtra Cyber Cell today, a video of which has been circulating across social media. The stand up comedian was spotted appearing before the Maharashtra Cyber cell in Mahape and did not make an appearance in front of the media.

For the uninformed, Apoorva Mukhija, Ranveer Allahabadia and Ashish Chanchlani had earlier recorded their statements in front of the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. Samay, who was out of the country owing to his prior work commitments remained unavailable.

The controversy surrounding India's Got Latent began after Ranveer Allahabadia, during his guest appearance along with Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani and others, asked a contestant if he would like to watch his parents have sex for the rest of their lives or join in once and stop it forever. This remark of the Youtuber sparked nation wide outrage, with CM Devendra Fadnavis reprimanding the Youtuber and demanding a probe in the matter. While Ranveer immediately issued an apology for his words, Apoorva and Samay refrained from making any comments.
