Samay Raina controversy: Did Munawar Faruqui just extend support to him via CRYPTIC video?

Recently, Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, and the show ‘India’s Got Latent’ have come under scrutiny due to some controversial comments that have sparked significant online backlash. Amid this ongoing controversy, several public figures and friends of Samay Raina have rallied to support him. While they haven't outright defended the Indian comedian, they have pointed out that the situation has been blown out of proportion. Additionally, comedian and actor Munawar Faruqui recently shared a reel that, although not directly naming Samay, is viewed by his fans as a sign of support for him.

In a recent Instagram post about 'Chadta Suraj' (the rising sun), he pointed out that people often feel envious of those who are successful and at the top.

Kitna achha lagta hai na doston, early morning sun. Sunset kitna achha lagta hai. kyunki suraj wo dono haalo mein na, thoda neeche hota hai. 12 baje jab suraj ekdum top pe chadta hai na, kisiko achha nahi lagta. He continued,“Doobta hua suraj achha lagta hai ya shuru hone wala suraj achha lagta hai. But suraj jab ek dum top pe pohoch jaata hai na ek dum shiddat pe, tab sabko jalan hone lagti hai. (People like the setting sun or the rising sun. But when the sun reaches at the top, at its zenith, that’s when everyone gets jealous)."

Reacting to the video, one fan remarked, “It's all about timing, you know?” Another user added, “Looks like he's subtly backing his brother.” Additionally, someone else commented, “It hits different when you realize he’s not just speaking for himself.”

In the meantime, Samay Raina has removed all episodes of ‘India’s Got Latent’ from YouTube. After facing multiple FIRs and complaints, Ranveer Allahbadia, whose controversial comment triggered the backlash, has spoken out about receiving death threats. Apoorva Mukhija, who is also caught up in the controversy, has reportedly been subjected to numerous death and rape threats as well. The police are currently looking into the situation.
