Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Sreeleela recently made headlines by appearing together at a public event—marking their first joint outing since the Pushpa 2 song controversy. Their shared presence has subtly put to rest the ongoing speculation about tension between them.

In one of the widely shared photos from the event, Samantha and Sreeleela are seen smiling warmly and holding hands. They also posed together for the cameras, which many read as a quiet but firm message—indicating that any previous fallout might now be behind them.

Both actresses arrived in statement looks. Samantha wore a black sheer gown featuring a lace bodice and deep neckline, while her hair fell in soft waves. Sreeleela opted for a red off-shoulder gown with minimal jewellery and a neat bun. Though different in style, both looks reflected confidence and grace.

The rumours of a rift had picked up last year, after reports suggested that Sreeleela had replaced Samantha in a dance number for Pushpa 2. The new track, titled Kissik, quickly drew comparisons with Samantha’s hit number Oo Antava from Pushpa: The Rise, which had become a cultural sensation.

However, Kissik received mixed responses upon release, with some questioning the decision and others drawing attention to the shift in tone. Sreeleela later addressed these reactions during a press interaction. “The song itself will justify my choice. It’s not your typical item song. There’s a strong narrative reason behind it, which will become clear when the movie releases,” she clarified.

The controversy didn’t end there. Reports also hinted at a possible pay gap, claiming Samantha was paid ?5 crore for Oo Antava, while Sreeleela received ?2 crore for Kissik. Brushing aside these claims, Sreeleela said, “We haven’t even discussed the remuneration with the producers yet,” hinting that such reports were largely speculative.

Despite the chatter, the actresses’ latest appearance together suggests a shared professionalism and maturity. While no statements were made, the smiles, body language, and ease between the two spoke volumes—silently drawing a line under a rumour-heavy chapter.
