Salman Khan is trying his best to HELP Katrina!

Salman Khan always goes out of his way to help his near and dear ones. Now, from what we hear, he is trying his best to help his 'good friend' Katrina Kaif bag a film!

Reportedly, the superstar has asked Aamir Khan to sign Kat for his upcoming film 'Thugs of Hindostan'.

A source has been quoted by a popular entertainment portal: "Salman wants Katrina to play the heroine opposite Aamir Khan in Thugs of Hindostan and hence, he gave her name as a suggestion to the production house. He has already put in a word as he feels that Thugs will be the perfect film for Katrina to be in after Tiger Zinda Hai. Both the films will obviously give a boost to her career and that's what the actor wants. However, everything now lies in the hands of Aditya Chopra and Aamir Khan, who will decide on which actress will be a part of the movie." (sic)

Another report states that Aamir does not like to repeat his heroines, following which he is not keen on taking up Kat for the film. He wanted to sign Alia Bhatt for the film and she was even approached. But, apparently, Alia turned down the role as she wants to do a meatier role.

Other actresses who have been linked to the project so far include, Vaani Kapoor, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Parineeti Chopra and even Shraddha Kapoor.

'Thugs of Hindostan' is based on the novel Confessions of a Thug. The film will be produced by Aditya Chopra's banner Yash Raj Films and stars Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles.
