Salman Khan firing case: Gangster Rohit Godara identified as key accused by Mumbai Crime Branch

The firing incident outside Salman Khan's residence last month sent shockwaves through Bollywood. As the investigation continues, a new development emerges: the Mumbai Crime Branch has filed a case against gangster Rohit Godara in connection with the incident.

According to reports by news agency ANI, the Mumbai Crime Branch has officially registered a case against Rohit Godara in relation to the firing incident outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments on April 14. Godara has been named as an accused in the ongoing investigation.

The tweet from ANI stated, "Mumbai Crime Branch registered a case against gangster Rohit Godara in the firing case at Salman Khan's residence. Mumbai Crime Branch made gangster Rohit Godara an accused." Additionally, it mentioned that six accused have been arrested so far, while four remain at large.

Previously, the arrested individuals included shooters Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, as well as arms suppliers Sonu Subhash Chander and Anuj Thapan. Recently, the fifth accused, Mohammad Chaudhary, was apprehended from Rajasthan for his involvement in aiding the shooters.

Just yesterday, the sixth accused, Harpal Singh, was arrested from Fatehabad, Haryana. Singh is alleged to have provided financial support to Mohammad Chaudhary and instructed him to conduct surveillance.

In the aftermath of the incident, Salman Khan's security has been heightened, and he has been accompanied by security personnel during public appearances. Meanwhile, the actor is gearing up to start filming his next project, "Sikandar," alongside actress Rashmika Mandanna. Presented by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by AR Murugadoss, "Sikandar" is slated for an Eid 2025 release.
