Salman Khan demands contempt action against Kamaal R Khan for defamation

On Monday, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan    demanded contempt action in court against Kamaal R Khan. The actor has taken action after KRK continued to make defamatory remarks despite taking an undertaking not to do so.

The application was submitted as Salman filed a defamation case against KRK, seeking to restrain him from directly or indirectly making and uploading videos or any other content on the actor, his business ventures and films/projects. 

Post the court hearing, Kamaal R Khan's advocate Manoj Gadkari told the court that his client would not make any further defamatory posts or remarks against Salman till the next date of hearing. However, Salman's advocate Pradip Ghandy told Additional Sessions Judge C V Marathe on Monday that despite the assurance, Kamaal R Khan continued to publish defamatory tweets.

"This is contempt of court," PTI quoted Pradip Ghandy as saying.

An application seeking contempt of court was then submitted against KRK. The court heard arguments on the application and posted it for further hearing on June 11.
