Saif Ali Khan made his debut in the movies in 1993 and it’s been a good run of more than 25 years in the industry. Despite coming from a royal family, Saif carved his own niche with his hard work and determination. Right from slice of life films like Dil Chahta Hai, Salaam Namaste to intense thrillers like Omkara, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, the actor has proved his mettle with every film and has no plans to stop.
Saif has worked with all three Khans of Bollywood - Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir, and shares a great rapport with each one of them. During the recent session titled Playing it Saif during lockdown at the India Today E-Conclave Corona Series, Saif spoke about his bond with the three Khans.
Saif and Salman have worked together in the 1999 multi starrer film Hum Saath Saath Hai. Speaking of Salman, the actor says: "Salman is the instinctive kind of superstar. He was the superstar from the first shot he gave. The country fell in love with him, they are still in love with him. So, nothing has changed apart from getting a little older or whatever."
Besides, Saif had only good things to say about his Dil Chahta Hai co-star Aamir Khan too. He said: “Aamir has always made good cinematic choices, he pioneered so many new things.”
And speaking of Shah Rukh Khan, Saif too could not help but talk about SRK’s sabbatical from the movies. “SRK, if he's finding it tricky right now, maybe its to do with being so strongly identified with an era. When that era passes, you need to readjust. There's a particular resilience about a 90s actor, let me tell you. So don't worry about him” Saif said.
Saif and Shah Rukh worked together in the 2003 romance drama Kal Ho Naa Ho.
