A few minutes ago, the sad news of the lovely couple Sara Ali Khan-Kartik Aaryan’s break up started to make headlines. The duo has mutually decided to part ways, in order to focus on their professional life and career.

Sara and Kartik bonded well while shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s Aaj Kal, but it looks like the duo is finding it difficult to spend time with each other, now that the film has wrapped up and the actors have moved on with their upcoming projects.

Well, only time will tell what the aftermath of this split will look like and whether the duo will rekindle their relationship or bounce back to being friends.

Meanwhile, Sara’s dearest daddy, Saif Ali Khan, who is currently on a promotional spree for his upcoming action-drama titled Laal Kaptaan, spoke about her daughter’s relationship with Kartik Aaryan. Saif stated that Sara is aware of the things she wants in life and he has full trust in her choices so he believes Kartik is a nice guy.

“In-person Sara is good, she knows what she wants and usually likes nice people. So I'm sure he's (Kartik) a lovely guy because you know I have full trust in her values and what kind of things she would be drawn to. So you know, if she likes him, then he must be nice,” ET Times quoted Saif as saying.

Besides, Sara and Kartik will be seen for the first time together in Aaj Kal, which is touted to be the sequel of 2009 romantic drama Love Aaj Kal, starring Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan. Talking of the film, Saif says that he hasn’t seen the film, but it’s decent.

Aaj Kal is scheduled to hit the screens on Valentine’s Day 2020, post which the actors have a line of projects planned ahead for them. Kartik has already wrapped up shooting for the remake of Pati Patni Aur Woh alongside Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar and is currently busy shooting for the sequel of Bhool Bhulaiyaa co starring Kiara Advani. On the other hand, Sara is currently busy shooting for the remake of David Dhawan’s Coolie No. 1 alongside Varun Dhawan.
