Saiee Manjrekar and Adivi Sesh's 'Major' locks release date

Bollywood actor - director Mahesh Manjrekar's daughter Saiee Manjrekar and Adivi Sesh’s upcoming film ‘Major’ is all set for release after wrapping up the film shoot successfully. 

Securing February 11, 2022, for a worldwide release in cinemas, the team of Major has now dropped a grand video to offer a sneak-peek into the grand shooting across 120 shoot days and 75 locations shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu.

Adivi Sesh announcing the same wrote on social media,

"#MajorTheFilm releases on FEB 11 2022 ! This Video shows you a glimpse. A Massive film inspired by the life, love and LEGACY of #MajorSandeepUnnikrishnan #MajorOnFeb11 in THEATERS WORLDWIDE Hindi Telugu Malayalam."

The film is said to be a story of valour, sacrifice and patriotism, ‘Major’ will trace the journey of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, played by Adivi Sesh, who selflessly fought for the citizens of India through the span of his life and martyred at the tragic 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

Previously, the makers unveiled the teaser of the film, portraying Sandeep Unnikrishnan's life, right from his childhood to the glorious years in the army and highlighted upon the different aspects of his being.

The teaser saw the late Major shows at various stages of his life. 

Talking about the film, Adivi Sesh says, 

“Major is a passion project and now that we’re inching closer to completion, I feel overwhelmed. I am grateful to the family of Major Sandeep for deeming me fit to play the role of their brave son. I hope we succeed in paying tribute to such an inspirational person.”

Apart from Adivi Sesh and Saiee Manjrekar the pan India film will also be starring Sobhita Dhulipala, Murli Sharma and also Prakash Raj, Revathi as Major Sandeep’s parents.

It will be released in Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam.

The film is helmed by Sashi Kiran Tikka is backed by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies..
