Sai Ketan Rao lays rumours to rest, confirming his return in a dual role on the show 'Imlie'

The popular Star Plus series Imlie has been captivating audiences with its gripping narrative, particularly following a recent leap. Amidst the love story of Imlie and Agastya, the duo encounters numerous hurdles on their journey towards the wedding, ultimately choosing to part ways.

A recently released promo has stirred up curiosity among fans, depicting the Chaudhary family performing Agastya's final rites, sparking speculation regarding Sai Ketan Rao's departure from the show. 

For the unversed, India Forums has previously reported exclusive insights from sources close to the production house that have debunked these rumours. Sai Ketan Rao is reportedly staying put on the show, and intriguingly, there seems to be a surprising twist in the works—he might make a comeback in a dual role, adding an extra layer of intrigue and anticipation to the storyline.

In an interview with one of the leading portals, Sai Ketan Rao, while confirming his re-entry with a dual role, expresses his challenges in playing a double role.  

Sai, while putting the rumours to bed, elaborated that he will make a powerful re-entry in the show as Agastya's brother, with the character now named Surya Pratap Reddy.

When asked about the challenge of playing a double role, Sai shared that after "Chashni," he wanted to take on something that would further challenge him as an actor. Joining "Imlie" as an ongoing show brought pressure due to the previous actors already establishing a strong connection. However, Sai expressed gratitude for the team's hard work in making the current season successful and mentioned the hectic shooting hours and involvement in high-octane action scenes.

Regarding personal matters, Sai mentioned relocating from Hyderabad to Mumbai, describing the experience as positive thus far. He mentioned being offered a few reality shows but couldn't participate due to focusing solely on "Imlie" at the moment. However, he expressed openness to considering reality show opportunities after concluding their commitments to "Imlie."
