Sahara One opens up its day with a Spiritual touch

Spirituality is often experienced as a source of inspiration or orientation in life. It can encompass belief in immaterial realities or experiences of the transcendent nature of the world. Spiritual practices, including meditation, prayer and contemplation, are intended to develop an individual's inner life; such practices often lead to an experience of  connectedness with a larger reality, yielding a more comprehensive self; with other individuals or the human community; with  nature or the cosmos; or with the divine realm.

Thus understanding its viewer's sentiments and beliefs in spirituality across, starting September 20, Sahara One has started offering is viewers a palate that will suffice their spiritual wants. Sahara One opens up its programming initiatives for the day by taking a bow to the almighty with the onset of religious band called 'Pratham Pranam'.  

'Pratham Pranam' begins in the morning at 5 a.m with a 1-hour live aarti from various temples in India, currently being beamed directly from Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai.  

This follows 'Ganesh Leela', from 6 a.m to 7 a.m. Ganesh Leela is a special feature on Lord Ganesha's life from his birth. Ganesha, the elephant head God is one of the most popular and foremost worshipped forms of divinity as a remover of obstacles and the embodiment of good luck, in the Indian system of beliefs and practices.  

After the series on Ganesha, starting 7 a.m starts 'Om Namah Shivay' a series portraying hindu mythology and featuring the divinity Shiva, as well as other gods and demigods (such as Shakti / Parvati, Brahma, Vishnu, Indra, and Sage Narada). The series presumably named after the mantra 'Aum Namah Shivaya', depicts the spirituality, divinity and the moving power with which Lord Shiva governs the destiny of the universe."
